HERITAGEFiona’s mother, Noreen is strongly of Irish descent, her grandmother before her having crossed to America in the late 20’s shortly before the stock market crash and the great depression of the 30’s.
Her father, Joseph is of Scottish, French, and Irish ancestry, his mother being mostly French and part Irish, and his father being both Scottish and Irish in nature. Their families came to the Americas not long before the dawn of the 20th century.

HAIR COLOR/STYLEFiona sports lovely locks of cool dark brown with the occasional blonde strand running through. Such blonde strands are especially evident during the day, when the sun’s rays seem to reflect off them. Her hair is cut in layers, with longer bangs in the front to frame her pretty face, especially when she leaves her hair natural. Most days, she either rolls out of bed and combs her hair with her fingers into a messy pony tail, or takes a shower and braids it to dry like that. Some mornings, though, she wakes on time and slips out of bed, showers and blows her hair straight with a blow dryer. The strands themselves, while numerous, are thin and not too oily, so she takes extra care to use a strengthening conditioner every time she showers and to use shampoo every other time.
EYE COLORWhen she was a little girl, her dad used to say that her eyes could stop traffic, and make even the meanest of men melt in an instant. Well, really, that was her entire personality. She doesn’t quite remember what her eyes looked like, only that they were blue. However, others can see that her eyes were once a brilliant sky blue with dark rings around both the outer edges and the iris. Her eyes themselves are slightly almond shaped with a fringe of lashes that, while not long aren’t terribly short either. If an artist had painted her eyes, he would have taken a dry fan brush and pulled lines of the dark blue paint toward the center to make striations, to change the texture and to create the peaks and valleys that make her eyes so interesting. However, that artist’s work would have been marred by the testing, as it lead to a permanent milky filament to cover her eyes, lending to life time blindness.
BODY TYPEFiona is not the typical daughter of Psyche, in fact, she isn’t a daughter at all. She was an experiment, both her and her brother were. She grew up to be petite, but distinctly feminine, probably more suited for one of Athena’s influence, but eh, you don’t always know what one will look like until they are older. She starts with a gentle, if not slender neck that gives way to a delicate collar bone and shoulder structure. Her bust is on the smaller side, leading to a gently curved waist and slightly fuller, yet still slim hips, ending in shapely, petite legs. All in all, she can’t be more than 5’4” and a buck ten at that. Down her back are faint tiger like marks that gently contrast with her skin, marking her as a chimaera, no, not the mythical being that she so recently found to be true, but the human with two different sets of DNA. When she was in the womb, she actually had a twin, however, the twin perished at an extremely early date, and her body absorbed the other, thus providing her with 2 sets of DNA.
FACIAL FEATURES
[/justify]Piper’s features display her heritage proudly, from the firm tilt of her chin to the height of her cheekbones. She has a fairly oval face with a slightly square jaw line and a gentle cleft in her chin, giving her both a delicate and stubborn look, one that matches her personality perfectly. Her skin is a wonderfully creamy color dusted with freckles, and often time tinted to be sort of ruddy by the sun. Pip’s eyes sit closer together on her face, in fact, all of her features are smaller, aiding in the frail look she has about her. Her nose on the other hand, holds a mark that is far from delicate. There is a slight crook on the bridge of her nose where she lost her balance when she 7 and landed face first into a coffee table.
CLOTHING STYLE
She doesn’t have any distinct fashion style. There is a wonderful conglomeration of pinks, blues, green, purples, creams, grays, and blacks in her closet with varying styles. Not to mention the canary yellow tea length vintage inspired dress that had been her grandmother’s and fits her to a T. She shops, often, with her aunt Lile who dresses her well, refusing to let her fall into the habit of always wearing sweats and Velcro shoes because they are convenient. Most of the time, when it is cold, she can be found wearing her mother’s old leather jacket, a gray hoodie proudly displaying ARMY in bold letters, and a fitting pair of boot cut jeans. On a normal, sunny day, however, she could be found in anything from a floral print chiffon sun dress and a white cardigan, to a pair of shorts, flip flops, and a bikini top, all depending on what the activity for the day holds. As for makeup, she often simply uses a powder that matches her skin color as her foundation, black or brown mascara, and a nude lip stick, all applied tediously and very carefully so as not to smear the mascara or to get it where it doesn’t need to go. If the occasion calls for it, she has her make up professionally applied.

ADVANTAGES
Unbiased – She can’t see what a person looks like, thus social prejudices and biases don’t apply to her, she doesn’t care what people look or dress like. It is their attitude and what their aura tells her that matters.
Loving - She herself, is a very loving individual, often taking time to help another, even if they are a stranger
Great listener – Being that Fiona is a quiet individual, she has gained the ability to listen, and she does a fairly good job of it. She likes to sit and simply listen to other people, come up with creative solutions, or to just be a kind ear to hear their problems. It is probably also why she loves music so much.
Calm – This goes with the quiet individual part. She is a rather calm person, not given to outrageous gestures, or to being loud in general. She has a sort of serenity about herself, even though sometimes she may harbor resentment or frustration, it is rarely displayed.
Patient – To be in the situation she is, she was forced to learn patience. Patience to read, patience to write, to learn music, to do anything she needed extra patience. This translates into how she deals with people, how patient she is with them, even when they are not the most patient with her, nor the nicest of people.
DISADVANTAGES
Too trusting – She often finds that she trusts people easily, despite what their auras and the vibes they give off might say. It has gotten her into some trouble, but it is her nature.
Self Sacrificing – A little bit is alright, but when it gets to the point where you are run down, stretched too thin, and are still trying to help, well, that is when it becomes a problem. She finds herself there often and occasionally has to step back, delay some things, and pick up when she can.
Irrational fears – While she may be a calm individual, there are some things that can spur an emotional barrage of fear, some of them, while founded are still irrational. Such as: the fear of the dark. Granted she is nearly always in the dark when it comes to her sight, she does realize when it is dark outside, or the environment is dark. She doesn’t like it, not in the least. This is part of the reason she has never used her ability to travel to the underworld.
Stubborn – Well, with patience, goes stubbornness, and a will to not give up, no matter what it is. She doesn’t do well when she finds out that she is not able to complete a task. She is stubborn to a fault in that she is also unyielding sometimes, refusing to give in, even when she may be wrong. She stands by her convictions and her decisions and she keeps them.
Naïve – While she has her convictions, she is also a little bit naïve as to the world around her. She trusts damn near everyone, and she offers her help to anyone who needs it. Sometimes, though, her instincts tell her better, but she rarely pays attention.
PERSONALITYThey say that most people view the world in two different stages throughout their lives. Glass half empty, and glass half full, perspectives changing as often as their circumstances. There comes a point, when in dire straits that even the most energetic and optimistic person begins to lose hope and they fade into both disillusion and hopelessness. At one point, or rather, several points, the same could be said of Piper. Especially as a child, she often suffered from bouts of depression, stemming mostly from the nearly 6 months of testing she endured. Those periods come far and few in between now, knowing that she has learned how to cope and has for the most part, let the past go. She realized a long time ago, that nothing would bring her brother back, nor would staying in her depressive state fix anything. Because of that realization and some extensive therapy, she was able to become that happy child she had been before, with a ready smile, a gentle word and a stubbornness that often got the better of her.
While Piper does love people, and she does what she can and then some to help them, she is actually a reserved person when she is in a crowd. They overwhelm her to a certain extent and she simply fades into the background, keeping quiet. Almost as if she prefers to simply observe. This is not true, however, when she is around her closest of friends and her family. Then, she is outspoken, vivacious and openly affectionate. There are few times when Piper is actually terribly vocal in a crowd, and most of those times are normally in a class room, especially when the subject is a topic she knows well.
Of those friends she is more open with, Everest is one. Well, here, he is the only one. As a child in Germany, her brother befriended a young German lad who was a year or so older than himself, and a full 5 years older than herself. From the time she could walk, she was following the pair on their adventures and she looked up to him just like a brother. There was no difference, he was her brother. Even after her brother’s death, she continued to follow Everest, he was the only one the lass could talk to openly and honestly, she had a much harder time explaining herself to her parents, and even worse explaining anything to the therapists. Even now, after nearly 10 years of separation, she still regards Everest as her brother, looking up to him, though not through the same eyes of a toddler, but rather that of a young woman, and one who had been through many trials with him.

WEALTH STATUSMiddle Class
HISTORYIt was the spring of 1985, and the graduating class was getting ready for their final semester and their final tests. Joseph was graduating as a computer engineer and was getting ready to enter the military as an officer, and the girl he’d been going steady with, Noreen, was graduating with a bachelors in education, hoping that when he joined the military, she’d go with him and become a teacher at whatever base they were stationed. It was pretty much set in stone from that first day in their sophomore year in college when they met in the Phys. Ed. Building, gym number 105A, that they were going to be together forever. It wasn’t even a year after he joined the military that they eloped, daring not to waste more time lest he be separated from her permanently. At least this way, they would be married, and they would be together wherever they moved.
In 1989, they had a son named Jeremiah Thomas, and he was the light of their life. Even so, he was a frail child and as such, Noreen quit her teaching job and remained home to take care of him. In 1993, Fiona Piper was born, a healthy baby of 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and glowing. She was born on February 16, 1993 in Fort Belvoir Medical Hospital. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Germany. It was there, in the private area of the children’s hospital that they met Everest, and they soon became fast friends.
It wasn’t until the end of 1996 that both Jeremiah and Fiona were taken from their parents, a form of DSS citing abuse for their son’s broken limbs. It wasn’t that he had a medical condition that made his bones frail, it was abuse, to them anyhow. They refused to see the truth. Pip and Tom were put in foster homes together, and from there taken to the testing facilities. In the last 6 months that the program was run, Fiona was injected with strands of DNA from a child of Psyche and made to drink a toxic slurry of chemicals every day. Over time, her body began to change, she lost sight in both of her eyes, and she found out that she could feel, and see people’s aura’s even in her mind. How, she didn’t know. She also didn’t know the calming effect she had on people, even though she herself was in turmoil. She knew her brother was sick, that the radioactive slurry was killing him, and as a child, there was nothing she could do. When her parents finally received custody, the damage was done. Her brother died in Landstuhl Army hospital, Landstuhl Germany on August 3rd, 1997. It was, however, through these tests that she found she had 2 different sets of DNA, both of them eerily similar, but different at the same time, the likes of which explained the different colored striations upon her back.
After her brother’s death, Fiona was taken to therapy, but again, she had a hard time talking with the therapists, instead, she consorted even more with Everest, becoming damn near inseparable from his side. When she entered school, she was placed into the special education classes, because of her blindness, and she was treated as if she was slow, when in fact, the opposite was true. She had a calming effect on the students, and her mind was brilliant. Eventually, a kind teach took her under his wing and tutored her, giving Fee her first Braille translator. It was a portable device that when scanned over a book’s pages produced braille letters on a pad. Thus, she learned to read, then to properly speak, and from there learned how to interact with people. When she was 8, they left Germany and moved stateside, where she faced another set of challenges, including the prejudices of the children and adults. She learned once more how to read and speak in English, though her German would always be much better. She learned how to play a variety of instruments in this time period, not by sight, of course not, but rather by hearing.
When she reached 9th grade, there was a whole ‘nother sort of problems. Most people she’d gone to school with had learned to accept her differences and over looked them, but in Thaedeus, everyone was keenly aware, they knew she was an outsider, she wasn’t a natural born demi goddess. The realization that she had Psyche’s DNA was a shock in and of itself, she didn’t think it was real, but then, she remembered the testing. Her first year, she kept her head down, didn’t speak to anyone but a few people, though she still enjoyed being around people, it was a bit more difficult. Her sophomore year was slightly easier, she fell in well with a small group of students that expanded. With each expansion, she grew a little more quiet, but she was no longer timid or afraid to be there. It helped too, that at the end of her 10th grade year, she met Everest in the middle of a music store, and to her it seemed like they picked up the big brother-little sister dynamic once again, as if it had never been lost.
Now, it is her senior year in Thaedeus, and she strives to graduate the top of her class, always carrying her brother’s memory with her. So far, she is doing well in her classes, she hasn’t missed a day, even though she’s been sick for a week or so, and she takes complete notes, typing them into a special computer that translates the letters into braille on a pad to her right. Eventually, she wants to get her teaching degree and open a school for the blind. Maybe. She doesn’t know what her path will hold, but she will make the most of what it does.- - - I've never been so surreptitious, so of course you'll be distracted when I spike the punch. - - -
