PLAY BYLucas Till.
HAIR COLOR/STYLEWes keeps his dirty blond hair cut fairly short in the back, longer on the sides, and sweeping across the top of his forehead in a little wave.
EYE COLORHis eyes are a smokey blue-gray.
BODY TYPE
Wes has broad shoulders, and a very narrow waist. Despite being toned, he is still quite slender, the type of guy who metabolizes things quickly, and is able to keep in shape pretty easily.
FACIAL FEATURES
Wes has a slightly pointed chin, but it looks proportionate to the rest of his face because of his strong jaw. He has a 'cute' face, with a slightly large rounded nose and an infectious smile.
CLOTHING STYLEHe definitely doesn't look out of place in formal wear, able to pull off the clean-cut look of the city. Even the whole 'gentleman farmboy look' works on him with long sleeved shirts, but he prefers t-shirts and jeans. For working, he favors older clothing, clearly showing hard use. In school he will wear anything casual, but it is in far better condition.

ADVANTAGESstrengths, personality only, at least four.
Reliable - He follows through with his promises as if his life depends on it. If he doesn't...well, then something is really wrong.
Strong-willed - When it comes to being at war with himself, Wes is able to set his priorities straight.
Responsible - Often described as 'mature' by teachers, there isn't much worry over whether or not he will act out like some of the other students.
Self-assured - Just because he's quiet, doesn't mean he can't be confident in his own abilities.
DISADVANTAGESweaknesses, personality only, at least four.
Protective - This can be a good thing for most people, but for others it can be rather overwhelming to have him hover.
Stubborn - When he feels he's doing the right thing, there is little that can be done to sway him.
Reckless - Luckily he hasn't had much of a reason to exercise this- Wes tends to put personal safety behind if he's determined to succeed, though others' safety is usually taken into account.
Independent - He'll give help at the drop of a hat, but when it comes to asking for it in return, he seems to forget that he is able to do so.
PERSONALITYBeing a son of Poseidon should have given him the reputation of being moody, and hard to handle, but he has his adoptive parents to thank for the outlook he has today. Wes is the sort of guy who can be relied upon by his friends to be there when needed, his sincere smile mirrored inside and out.
For the majority of the time, he treats everyone the same, unless he's been given concrete evidence that his good intentions aren't worth the effort. Even then he rarely picks a fight- the only thing that would really bait him would be the well-being of a close friend being affected. That being said, he's more likely to turn his back on whoever is trying to bother him, and move on. Despite having a notoriously greedy and warlike god for a father, he doesn't suffer from many mood swings, or severe anger issues. Being raised as he was, there wasn't a lot for him to complain about and get angry over anyway.
At school he finds it harder to maintain his calm, but he manages. Years of practice of being 'the good guy' have made it second nature to push back any unpleasant thoughts, or the desire to lose his cool.

HISTORYIt wasn't very often that a boy like Wes came along. Just a baby, he was taken from an apparently deserted apartment when child services was called by someone who was supposedly the previous tenant to come and take him away. It was simply assumed that his biological mother had been overwhelmed by the responsibility of having a child, and not known how else to give him up other than an anonymous tip. He wasn't found in horrible conditions, or with signs of abuse, but it was deemed necessary to put him immediately into foster care until he was older, and the right family was found.
That right family came in the form of Daniel and Lynn Grebe, a couple in their early thirties looking to adopt. They owned some land nearby Flathead Lake, Montana, where they ran a successful lodging business for tourists in the area. By the time all of the legal information was in order, Wes was two years old, and as normal as could be. He grew up in a log bungalow, the type of farm house that looked like it belonged in the mountains. He helped his mother, Lynn run the lodge like a bed and breakfast, and helped his father gather their small herd of cattle in the summers for the entertainment of the tourists. He seemed to have little difficulty adjusting to his new life, and acted just like a regular boy- except for a few outstanding little talents. Wes seemed drawn to the horses they kept, and spent every waking moment that he wasn't working or forced to stay indoors with them. Whether it was hanging on the fence as a kid, or later testing the boundaries of how close he could get to the wild herd that sometimes passed by the area, he seemed to find them to be the perfect company. The only thing that took priority was being near the water- he couldn't explain it, he just felt so at home by the lake, spending his summers swimming when his friends had all gone home. Still, he had no inkling that these were signs of something out of the ordinary. Imagine his shock when he cut his foot jumping off the docks, only to find that when he got out of the water, there was no mark. It seemed that the older he got, the stranger things became. By ninth grade he was getting more and more perturbed by the little things that seemed to happen only around him. He could take the horses out riding, and none of them responded to his friends like they did to him. He had already forced himself to avoid the lake, and was starting to do the same with the family horses. It was getting harder to fit in with the kids around the agriculture-happy town, simply because he couldn't find ways to stop himself from discovering his new disturbing abilities.
The pamphlet from Thaedeus arrived in the nick of time. It was quite possibly the darkest moment for Wes- he couldn't help feeling betrayed by himself, thinking that something must be wrong. It was around that time that he found he could hear the thoughts of the horses on the ranch. It was what he thought was the final nail in the coffin- he would have to give up everything he loved, and move away, because he must surely be going crazy. Had he still visited the lake at that point, it might have driven him over to edge to find he could breathe under water. As it was, someone arrived to explain to him what was happening. Like so many others who believed what the general population did, it was hard to take it all in at first. But eventually he and his parents reached the decision that he should go. Lynn and Daniel warmed quickly to the possibility of the gods and powers running rampant in kids. And so Wes was shipped off to Seattle, knowing a deep sense of loss for his home that had suddenly seemed so much more inviting when he found out he wasn't insane, but determined to make the most of this new chapter.
He wasn't sure what to expect from Thaedeus, but to his surprise, it felt almost like a regular highschool. There were groups and cliques, although he wasn't subject to any bullying for being a demigod- apparently according to the other students, they were considered as higher class, though he couldn't see what they meant. He quickly built the reputation of being quiet but friendly, a reliable guy who was a bit odd for a Poseidon demigod. He didn't encounter much to make him hate the place, and the proximity to the sea (which he later learned contained a great many animals that could also communicate with him) was just a bonus. Still, he found he was happiest at home, even if he did miss his friends over the holidays and summer break. He was always welcomed back home with open arms, though the first summer back, his parents had been unsure of how to treat him. Wes made it quickly known that he didn't want things to change- he would continued his chores and duties as if he had never left. He was still the same person...he just had a special advantage over other people when it came to Poseidon's turf.- - - as you worry about the sins of your past - - -
