Samantha had always been pretty good at pin pointing people into doing things, but no so good as to seeing their real feelings and intentions. She walked in pace with Jon, studying his facial features and his reactions to the way she moved. It was hard, because he was a difficult subject, but she would get through to him, he interested her enough for her to want to pay attention to him, so he was well worth it.
He was a little un nerved or something by the school approaching. It was still a far way away from where the two walked, but he seemed a little like an opposite magnet. as soon as he got anywhere near the place, he'd want to get out of there as soon as possible.
His mood changed however when he spoke."Maybe we could catch a movie sometime?" He asked, a smile forming on his lips. She smiled, trying to keep in her sudden glee that he had asked her .. out? she mentally shook her head. Of course it wouldn't be a date, would it? She pushed a few strands of hair from her fore head to behind her ear, nodding in a sort of semi agreeing manner. She liked the idea of perhaps 'catching a movie' with the Erebos clone. Her own smile took over her face, and she again nodded, but this time a little more towards him. "That actually sounds pretty cool. Us freaks have gotta have some fun too, right?" She smiled, adding a wink. Being normal was usually not under her little mental list from being a demi god. Hell, it was nice not to kill a person once a month. She had been calming herself down quite a bit, and figured out that she could ask someone to do something without a force to it, and was happy that she wasn't a born control freak.
it was a nice feeling.
Catching what he had said before about unpleasantness made her lip twist into a straight line, a habit of when she went into thought absently. Was it because of the ex girlfriend? or perhaps his general school work? Things like that always puzzled poor Sam. She over analysed things way too much, and she needed to stop it. No wonder some people questioned her sanity on occasion.
Coming back out from her state of puzzlement, she cracked a half smile. "Ah. I'm guessing you're the type who couldn't wait to get out of high school? Oddly enough. I kind of enjoy learning how to use a short blade in my Physical ed class. It wasn't a complete joke. In the high school curriculum, there was a certain amount of time allocated to learning different things, and this place was no different. Well, Maybe it was a little off for her to be fluent in six languages and be able to handle a cross bow and a short sword, but that was totally out of subject, right?

She seemed pleased. Really pleased, actually, and he grinned in response, despite the warning bells that sounded in his head. He could be playing with fire, the way things were heading, but luckily for him his wariness of most people was enough to get him by.
Not that he was suddenly giving her a wide berth, face a sudden mask of suspicion, trying to gauge her powers. No, instead he remained just as he had, looking away with a smile when she winked at him. Despite feeling just a little bit more like a normal guy, Jon didn't always have the best grasp of dealing with people. Hell, back at Thaedeus he'd do just about anything to avoid a crowd. Being a mimic of Erebos meant that most people didn't want to be around him anyway. Besides, if the depression didn't keep them away, he might have been able to melt away into the shadows-or maybe not. He had never really been able to tell if this was one of his powers, but he assumed that the experiments had only gone so far as to making him an Unnatural. Some things were bound to have been left out, no matter how useful they were. At least he wasn't as awkward as before. He liked to think that he had improved over the last year, and that because he didn't make people unhappy just by being in the vicinity, it somehow made him a better person. He was certainly less rude, less prickly than he used to be, but that didn't make him automatically comfortable. He just had to pretend.
"Ah. I'm guessing you're the type who couldn't wait to get out of high school? Oddly enough. I kind of enjoy learning how to use a short blade in my Physical ed class."
He laughed, relaxing slightly. "It would look that way, wouldn't it?" He shrugged, looking down again. "Nah, I didn't mind it so much-I wasn't great at the work, but I got by." He cocked a brow, flashing another grin, one that seemed suddenly more genuine. "You're into swordsmanship? I-uh-wouldn't have guessed," It was surprising, but suddenly the girl didn't seem so foreign to him. Maybe he had been a bit quick to judge, but he would have thought she'd be into horse back riding, or something a little less combative than working with swords. "I was into archery- the one thing that doesn't translate well into a career, I just happened to have a knack for." But now his bow-the one that he had bought so that he had something just a little better than the school stock-gathered dust in his apartment. "I was quite possibly the best archer they've ever seen," He joked, suppressing a smile, attempting to look serious. Scarlet was probably better than him now- that at least put a real frown on his face.
{oh Jon. Such a drama queen.}

Samantha was having fun with Jon. He wasn't just trying to chat her up or anything like most people attempted doing. Of course, if she chose to she could will them to go away and stop harassing her, but she tried to keep her power usage to a low extent, wanting to be able to sort things out on her own. Jonathan was entertaining her, and she was enjoying his company. She was a social girl, but she guessed that the way he spoke, he wasn't exactly that at all.
Sam grinned at him when he seemed a little taken aback at the fact that she was handy with a sword. She could use a bow and arrow, but close combat was more her style. Nodding a little, she learnt something new. He was good, really good at Archery. It wasn't much of a surprise. Looking at him, he had the will to do it."I guess i could join a fight to the death game show, career worthy?" She questioned, letting out a laugh. Game shows that made people fight to the death, if only.
Snickering at his joke, she looked up at him. yes, he was funny when he tried to be. In a dry way, but still funny. Samantha swayed a little as she walked, a dawdle to her pace. She was feeling like a little kid again, and she had but the slightest idea why. Sure, she was having a heck of a good time by just making a new friend, but an ex student was even better. She didn't have to act like a normal person in front of him. When she left the place, she would have to conceal herself, not let anyone know of her secret. It was weird, because growing up at the school, she never had to hide anything.
She guessed that was what the school worked them up to be able to do. Control equals an easy ability to hide the fact that yeah, some peoples parents are gods, and others have to drink some weird potion type thing to keep them strong. It was weird, and sometimes people divided themselves to be in groups of the demi gods and the potion drinking freaks , as some called them. Samantha didn't find it bad, but different. They had an extra thing to worry about, drinking that thing every day. Who would want that?
"Oh, The best? So you're some sort of celeb, hm?" She mused, letting another laugh out. A celebrity among freaks, where does that put you in the real world of people and fame? minus thirty?

He laughed- if only there were jobs specific to the students of Thaedeus. Instead they were closely watched until they graduated and were deemed ready to be a part of normal society. It sort of struck him as being similar to releasing an animal back into the wild- which was a little discouraging. A few lucky students would be able to return as teachers.
"Oh, The best? So you're some sort of celeb, hm?"
He grinned, folding his arms across his chest. "Oh yeah, I'm surprised you haven't heard of me before now- guess you'll be wanting my autograph now." He rolled his eyes, heaving a dramatic sigh as he tried to keep a straight face. It wasn't very often that he just got to goof off- he probably wasn't even that entertaining- but it was fun for him at least.
It wasn't long before his good mood started to fade, and he shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "Seriously though, I probably wasn't even that great. Well, now I'm not, considering I've been out of practice for so long." Jon explained, before glancing over with a smile. "But there's hope for you yet. Maybe you can use your sword skills for a career in crime." He hunched his shoulders in a shrug, before making a stabbing movement at the empty air. "You know, maybe rob a few people with nothing but a dagger. Health benefits for criminals aren't so great, but if you pull off a heist you'll be golden. Or, failing that, you could probably find work as some sort of old-timey reenactment swordsmith."
