Cleo could feel the ridiculous heat coming from her husband's chest. But she was tolerant to it, well unless Zacharie started to 'overheat', that's when it started to get harder to stand. At this moment, as she rested her head comfortably upon his bare shoulder, she could feel that he was slightly warmer than usual. No matter. She could suck it up a little until her body adjusted to it. She didn't want to say anything; this was his time to relax and he needn't worry about her.
Clementine frowned as Zach let go of her hand but a grin grew back onto her face as soon as his arm wrapped around her and his right one took the other's place on hers. Comfortable in her new position, Clementine rested her head on his bare chest, the heat making her feel like a cat in the sun... only this sun was human and shirtless... Gods, how Cleo's opinions and thoughts about Zacharie had not changed! Unless you count her being more and more attracted to him everyday. Besides, it had been quite a long time since she had had the chance to just enjoy him.
Clementine could hear every heartbeat in his chest and the light noise of his breathing, although it seemed rather irregular. Was he holding his breath? "That's alright, I wasn't really in the mood for a movie." He could keep doing whatever it was he was doing with his breathing, she didn't want to question him really. Just to see that he was in better spirits was all she wanted, and, without even trying, she was succeeding at doing so. She sighed happily into his chest as he kissed the top of her head. Zacharie was so warm... and he always smelled like his favorite body spray. Even now, as Cleo rested against his chest, she could smell it, and the smell of grease could be distinguished in the mix when he'd come home after work, she could smell that too. This was home. Zach was home. And when he was happy, so was Clementine. She closed her eyes. Perfectly happy, but still hoping her husband would feel better soon.
Zacharie had let go of her hand started to trace his finger along her arm. Cleo opened her eyes, watching his hand move for a moment before moving her head to look up at him. She only had the chance to stare into his beautiful eyes for a second before his lips found hers. The kiss was powerful, and it was as if Zach was starved for it; starved for her affection. This brought back her earlier concerns. Maybe she had been neglecting him too much during the pregnancy... Obviously he could feel her concerns through the kiss. "You're worried it's your fault and it's not [...] So stop. It's not your fault, baby." How could he know that she was worried about his issues being all her fault? He knew her far too well. And he also knew that she would start to speak again which was probably why he went back to kissing her, or one of the reasons.
This time it was longer and very passionate. And although it wasn't really, it felt spontaneous and made butterflies start in her stomach. It was like their first kiss. She could remember it. She had stood up a guy Zacharie had warned her not to get involved with. At first she had been determined to ignore Zach's warnings, saying he was jealous, which he most likely was, but she had taken the time to do some thinking after the little spat they had. Cleo could remember how much cried during those two days. Anyways. She had stood up the player, realizing Zacharie had to be right and she had texted him to one and see her. After they had talked and such, Zach had started to reveal that he liked her until he finally gathered the courage to kiss her, even though she was a horrible mess from crying the whole night before. This kiss felt like that one.
When he pulled back, they were both slightly out of breath. Perhaps they lacked practice? The thought was laughable but the idea of practicing wasn't unpleasant. Clementine stared into his eyes as he spoke, a tear rolled down her cheek as he finished. "I love you too. And you'll be the most amazing father ever. I know you will. And I'm sorry if it seemed as if I ever doubted that."

Zach felt so much better, after hearing Cleo answer him. He took a deep breath, taking in the whole situation before leaning back little bit. His movements didn't really affect Cleo and she stayed in the same position; next to Zach. He loved having her right there, and whenever he looked down at her belly he just smiled. He loved the idea of having a family with her, even in their apartment. Which one day, he hoped to have a house for them, before any other babies came along. But they had a little while until that happened. At the moment, he loved his little apartment with his wonderful wife.
He looked at Cleo, pulling her just a bit closer; his arm around her back and gently resting on her lower back/waist. He kissed her cheek before moving closer to her ear and then to her neck. Just touching her, kissing her, sent a chill down his spine. Making all the bad mood just flood out, she was calming him and she didn't even know it. She would never know just how amazing she was, the affect she had and would always have on him. Her breathing was like taking a sleeping pill and just listening to it could make him fall asleep with her in his arms.
He couldn't tell her how much he really did love her. She wouldn't understand, not fully. He looked down at his bare skin, and then back at her before moving into a comfy position so she could lay her head on his chest. They both sort of leaned back, laying together. He didn't want to make things uncomfortable for Cleo so whenever she sort of squirmed, just a little bit. He'd find a way to make her more comfortable. "Baby, how are ya feeling? I didn't upset you too much that it upset the baby earlier did I? I hope not." He said, just now thinking about how maybe all that had affected baby Johnathan.
"You know, we're getting old. That kiss earlier left me breathless but maybe that was just when I opened my eyes and saw you. You could take anyone's, especially mine, breath away. " He said when her gaze drifted up to his. He grinned, huge. A few minutes passed after that whole old conversation slash remark, and Zach did the same thing with his breathing. Just to hear hers, it was adorable. He kept his body at a good temperature, warm and comforting rather then scorching hot.
He wondered whether he should take the ichor that many unnaturals can take now of days but even when they were younger. Zach told Cleo he liked being this way. He had gotten used to it. And really if he took it, he thought he would have been regular. Not special in any way, at least to the government or something..someone,... he wasn't just another person. Well, sort of. He didn't want to lose who he was. Even if he hated taking that dreaded stuff in the mornings; after so many years of taking it he was used to it.
[ooc: it really sort of sucks. sorry : (
