How she longed to wear her dresses again. There was nothing stopping her from wearing other kinds of dresses but only those she used to wear. What prohibited her from this was the great round bump that reached out and away from her abdomens, stretching far with the pressure of what was growing inside of it. Yes, Clementine was pregnant. Seven months pregnant to be exact. And as much as she wanted it to he a surprise, she couldn't help herself when the doctor asked if they wanted to know the gender. It was a boy. Little Jonathan. She couldn't wait to hold him in her arms.
Cleo was almost 22 and she could hardly believe she was already going to have a child. Yes, it was a little early for some people's opinion but she was responsible and was with the love of her life. Zacharie. There was nobody else for her, this much was clear. He made her blush when he looked at her just as much now as it used to. They had gotten married when she was 20, she remembered everything about that day. It had been outside in a lush flowery garden their demi-god and unatural friends had helped to grow. Her gown was long, of once. It trailed behind her for a few feet. The top was strapless and lightly decorated with small beads, it had a delicate and subtle corset style to it and tied all the way up from her lower back to her mid-back in a corset fashion. But Zacharie, he was that one thing that Cece could see. He was handsome. His tux made him just die from heat but he did it for their wedding day. She loved him.
Clementine had been out of university for only a few days now. It seemed like the hustle and bustle of the university student's life might be too much for her baby. She didn't want to risk losing him. However her education was still a very big priority which was why she took her courses online or via a sort of webcam at times. Veterinarian studies were very long and complex but Cleo had a knack for it. In fact, she was doing some work for her class at the computer desk in their living room. One day they would be able to have a house with an actual office in it where the computer desk could go but this did just fine for the time being.

It was funny, to Zach as to how he had changed so much just in his senior year. How quickly he became a caring and focused guy, well , focused on one girl anyways. Cleo. She had been the one to change him senior year and it had all happened so quickly. Soon the senior year was over for Zach, and he wondered whether he was going to stay or leave Seattle. The day at the park where he asked Cleo if she saw them having a future together. Well, she had and so had he. To be honest, both of them could really never imagine life without each other. So many of Zach's guy friends told him it was way too soon to "fall in love" and even quoted him on how before her he had never believed in love. He agreed, that they perhaps had moved to fast but all it did was speed up the life they would have together. Married at 20 and 21, after telling Cleo that he never wanted live without her and asking her to marry him. She planned the wedding, and he had a mental picture of her on that day stuck in his mind forever.
They had their own big apartment now and they had both decided that it would be okay to raise their child in an apartment for a while. Well, it was more like a town home. So it was roomy, and still would be roomy when the third little person arrived. Cleo was pregnant, with his child and jut the thought made Zach smile. She was glowing, with that motherly glow everyone talked about. Seven rough but lovely months into the pregnancy and Zach was already jumping for excitement. He never had thought that he would be the kind to get so sappy over a child but it's different. It was so easy to tell how different things were when you were in high school compared to when you're an adult. One thing that was obvious, Zach was the kind to get sappy over a kid.
He chuckled as he got out of the car, today being Saturday and thankfully he had the day off. He had gone to go pick up a few things that Cleo usually craved. He had gotten up extra early so that he could wake her up and then make breakfast for her. He opened the back car door and pulled the groceries out before shutting it with his leg, struggling not to drop the bags. By the time he got to the door, he had fully arranged the bags to where he didnt have to worry about them falling and he easily opened the door with the key. He wanted Cleo to be safe so they always locked the door. God he was so over protective. He went it, quietly shutting the door behind him and moving towards the kitchen to sit the bags down.
He didnt unload anything out of the bags as he directly went for their room. He peaked in and did a sad sigh when he saw her awake, standing up in the room. The door opened just as she looked at him and then a smile hit his face. He couldn't even play sad. His hands reached her face and held her cheeks before kissing her forehead. "Silly, you ruined my plan. I was going to wake you up and make you breakfast. But I guess now you can just make me breakfast." He chuckled before taking her hand and leading her to the living room. It was obvious to both of them that she was so not making breakfast that it made him want to laugh. I bought more craving food that you were , of course, craving in your dreams last night. Though come sit on the couch with me at the moment." He sat down, laying back and leaving a spot to lay up against his chest just for her.
Sure, maybe they were too young but so many people were having kids at a much younger age. 22 and 23 was not that young, and they knew what they were getting into. They were in love, both could and would always easily admit. That they were meant for each other. It was like a sappy ol' fairy tale.

Closing down the search page on the computer, Clementine carefully pushed herself up and off the desk chair onto her feet. Little Jonathan was getting big and heavy. The thought of her little boy growing inside of her made her smile. Walking over to her bedroom, she went to get a hair elastic for her still long, blond-white locks. She went to pull them up in a ponytail she looked over at the door. She smiled.
"Good morning." Zacharie was just peeking into the room. Cleo turned toward him as he walked toward her. He kissed her forehead and mumbled about her ruining his plans of making her breakfast, then joked about her having to make him breakfast now. "It's not my fault, I don't always make the rules." She ran her hand over her stomac before looking back up at him. "You make your own breakfast, mister." She replied before he pulled her along to the living room.
"Mm." Clementine smiled. Usually pregnant ladies craved ice cream or pickles but she didn't. She craved pineapples and peanut butter, but not always together. She was a little sad that she didn't get to have her craving food but didn't show it as he pulled her over to the couch. Zach stretched himself across it and gave her space to sit down infront of him. When she was comfortably leaning against him, she ran her hand down his arm until she found his wrist where it stopped and took hold of his hand. She placed it onto her belly and held it there with both her hands, looking at them before looking over at him. "I think he's happy that daddy's home." The baby had been kicking up a little storm for a while now and she could feel the little thumps under their hands. "He's not the only one either." Cleo grinned while she looked back at her stomac and moved their hands to a different spot on it.
Jonathan Cole Esclan was going to be the luckiest little boy in the world. He would have a wonderful and loving mother to take care of him. And he would have a fantastic dad to be his rolemodel and to teach him things like mechanics. They didn't know what their little boy would become but they knew he would be terrific in whatever he did. When the day would come where he would be born, Cleo know that it would be the most beautiful day ever. She had also thought about Zacharie and their son. For one, would his insane heat be too much for the little boy? Clementine was fine with it but only because she was tempered that way. But there were other things that bothered her even more.
"Zacharie... Will you promise me something?" She had grown a little more sad, more worried as well. She was still looking at the belly, sometimes moving their hands to another spot to feel the kicks.

Zach leaned his head into Cleo's, taking in the sweet smell of her hair. She used great shampoo, and he was sure she bought the sweet smelling kind because he was always sniffing her hair. It was a comforting thing for him, and usually when he was feeling shitty.. he'd just go lay next to her and weirdly enough, smell her hair. He could see his son pulling on her hair one day and Cleo getting mad but at the end they would both be snuggling on the couch together. Cleo's bursts of rage were better with random people but her rages with him were normal. They were married, it wouldnt be a marriage if they didn't fight every now and then. That's what he though anyways.
His hands rested gently on her belly, feeling the kicks of her son. Johnathan Cole Esclan. Cole was his favorite boy name while Cleo loved the name Johnathan. Of course that was after many cancellations of names. It fit well though, he could see his little son... blonde hair, turning and his mom holding him and both of them smiling. A perfect mental picture that got rid of any troubles he had. Though one that they had both brought up a year or two ago still bothered him. He was positive she was still thinking about it and it bothered him, the whole subject was his body heat. At first he denied it but he soon realized he couldn't hold a baby with the degree temperature his body was. So, he had been trying to think of ways he could cool his body down maybe or use some sort of cool gloves. To be honest he hadn't thought of much, but he was determined. He was going to hold his son, without burning him. Of course Thaedeus had told him a few ways to cool his body temp down... maybe a few would work if he did them right before he held the baby. His smile died down a little bit, the subject just making him weary.
He soon noticed Cleo was acting strange too, maybe just hormones. It usually was just the hormones, though besides that Cleo had actually been a very cooperative pregnant woman. She was sweet and even if she wanted things real bad she would try to hide it. Usually he only found out what she was craving through what she talked about during the night. Like last night she was saying 'mhmm, peanut butter and pineapples. yumm' so he went out and bought her craving food for the day. It was a funny technique, and whenever he told his friends that... they would start laughing about how they were so in sync with each other. A grin appeared on his face before he realized that both of them were feeling off.
He stiffened his back, moving his hands off her belly as she asked him if he could promise her something. His jaw tightened, and he took a deep breath before sighing. Why the fuck was he making a big deal out of her small question? It wasn't like she was accusing him of being a rapist or something. He softened before nodding yes. He always got worried when she was down, normally she was a very happy person so it meant something bad when she was down.

She closed her eyes as she felt him breathing in her hair, although it was tied up. It was soothing. The warm air pouring down her neck into her spine, comforting her like a blanket. She leaned back into Zacharie a little more, melting to his body. Not literally. Cleo was so happy here, in his arms, surrounding by him and his embrace. If only she had known that she had wanted this for the beginning, if only she had known that she wanted him from the start. But their lives had played out wonderfully so far since they had met back at Thaedeus. Sure there were some ups and downs, like when they had fought about that boy Lee Smith, or something like that, and how he was going to use her, back before they had started to actually date. But they had made it past all that. And now they were here.
Clementine felt Zacharie stiffen a little behind her and felt his hand slither out of hers, leaving them empty. She waited for him to reply but heard nothing, only just barely feeling the muscles in his neck moving in a way that ment he was nodding. She sighed. "Promise me... You'll never harm him?" A single steady line of tears went strait down her cheek and those thoughts were hard to remember. Not that she couldnt remember, they were just thoughts she really didn't want to.
"Swear to me you will never lay a finger on him out of rage... Never treat him badly and always love him?" Cleo was crying quite a lot now. Her damn father! What a horrible man he was! Why did she have to suffer for his misery? She was just a little girl! "Please tell me you'll be the father to him mine should have been to me? Teach him mechanics and help him to ride his bike, help him be happy and be his rolemodel?" It was all she asked. Sure it was technically more than one question but she was very sad, tears rolling down her face.

Zach stiffened, as he heard her first words of many to come. He sat straight, his muscles tensing and his temperature rising a bit more. He understood what Cleo had gone through when she was younger but it kind of hurt his heart that she would even think that Zach would do that. Fuck, she had told him so many times that she fully trusted him. That she was comfortable around him, that she felt safe around him. Why would she even ask that if she felt safe around him. He looked away, moving his hands completely away from her as she continued.
"Swear to me you will never lay a finger on him out of rage... Never treat him badly and always love him?"
Once again she made it sound like that was the biggest fear in the world. He really wasn't sure whether he should be mad. He knew it was a worry to her, and would be his if that had happened to him, but still. He was still a bit heart broken. What if he did get mad, even if he just yelled would she yell at him? They both had rages. He always used to joke about hers, but when he got mad... she acted like she was scared as ever. He had let that brush off but now it just didn't seem right that she was excused for blowing up at him and when he did it she just... ugh. He had been in such a good mood this morning, it seemed that mood was gone. He didn't even hear what she said next, he just nodded. He wasn't going to blow up. Not here in front of her anyways, he was just too mad. He didn't even know if he was allowed to be mad...
He spoke with no emotions, it was like a dead voice. "I honestly, can't believe you'd even think I'd hurt him Cleo. But, I'm not even sure I want to know. I promise I won't hurt him, and I'd never hurt you. I had really hoped you already knew that..." He sighed, forcing a small fake smile and kissing her head before carefully getting out from behind her. He made sure she was okay in her position before walking to the kitchen. He pulled out her cravings and looked at her before turning to the fridge and grabbing himself a coke. He frowned as he turned around, still a bit heart broken. He had thought he had established the fact that he loved her more then ever, that he would never hurt her. Apparently not.
He sat down against the bottom cabinets, pulling his knees a bit close to him and setting his elbows on his knees. He opened his coke and drank it before setting it beside him and putting his head in his hands. He didn't know whether he was making too big of a deal, but that question or questions just totally fucked his thoughts up.

Zacharie's hands pulled away from her body entirely, leaving her tiny frame feeling cold and fragile. Clementine wrapped her arms around herself, tears just flowing constantly straight down her face while she look down at the ground to her right a bit. She didn't want to make Zach feel like this. She wasn't accusing him of anything, she knew he would be the best dad in the world. It was just for her own mental reassurance that she needed to ask this from him.
Cleo listened to her husband speak in a terrible dead tone that shook her to no end before he kissed her head and went to the kitchen, leaving her feel even colder, and not only because of his body head had now gone missing.
Clementine was very hormonal on this occasion, having been pretty good with keeping them on the down low before. The horrible memories from her past with her father didn't help at all. She sat now on the couch, alone, rubbing her arm quietly as she was reaching the breaking point where she would be sobbing. Her eyes were puffy and very watery, her face firey on a vivid red. Then she felt horrible. Worse than she had a moment ago. But this was different. Cleo got up and sprinted to the bathroom, soon finding herself on the ground and leaning over the toilet bowl. Johnathan wasn't vet happy.
She brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth out properly with mouth wash before returning to the living room and stopping as she got close to the kitchen. She could see Zach sitting on the ground. Sighing lightly, Clementine walked into the kitchen and stopped next to her husband, looking down at him.
"I know you would never hurt him," She admitted in a shy little whisper. "I guess... I just needed to hear you say it..." She paused. Her face felt dry and sticky from all the crying she had done. Clementine took hold of the counter to steady herself as she bent down to sit next to him. This was a challenging task his her big belly and the odd center of gravity it gave her. But she eventually got to the ground and looked over at him. "I never doubted you. You have to now that, Zach."

The whole topic shook Zach like crazy. It made him think of what happened between Cleo and her dad. It made sense, that she would worry. He was being an ass, but the thing was... he felt like just once... he wanted to be distant and just be confused. Life was confusing but lately, it's been like he's pushed the confusion aside. This did not mean he wanted to yell, or scream, or run out, nothing like that. Cleo did not need that right now, but he at least wanted to just...let the rough times go through his head. He sounded like a complete lunatic, but he'd never realized how well he'd hidden his pain. Just regular, life, pain.
He listened to Cleo but realized, that this needed to be dropped. In his whole depressed, dark mood...he did not need to continue in an argument. She was in front of him now, awkwardly trying to balance her pregnant self. He let loose a small, sad yet loving grin and kissed her before looping his hand in hers and standing up then carefully helping her up. "I understand, sorry. I just turned from a really good mood to a really bad one. It's not your fault it's just... baby, I feel like I need to just have a day of bad moods. I think you're not the only one with a chance of being hormonal. I love you, now... you need to eat."
He was still depressed but it was totally true that he didn't know why he was so sad. He loved his wife, the family they'd soon be. He was doing good, and almost all the time him and Cleo were like two newly weds that know each like the back of their heads. He decided, he really was being hormonal. He grinned, almost laughing but just sighed. "Maybe, I need to rest or something. I'm going to grab a drink and head to the bedroom, I'll put in a movie if you want to come back in there... though I doubt you're too tired. Anyways, that's where I'll be. Call me if you need me.
He kissed her, half on the lips and half on her cheek before fixing a drink and heading back to the bedroom. She'd eventually join, he knew that.
OOC; SUCKS. holy crap, this sucks. oh well. i was rushing. So much to do in two nights. email me when you want to!

How had his mood changed so quickly? She knew Zacharie despised any mention of her father and even more when she spoke of what he had done to her but how did that trigger his depression? Zach had never been a sad or depressif guy, it was bizarre to see him in such a state. Clementine didn't particularly enjoy it. In fact, she hated it. Even when he kissed her before helping her back onto her feet, the kiss felt empty. She could still feel the love but there was just not much more to it. "Just a day of bad moods." Cleo repeated, giving a sort of motion with her head that showed she was fine with it, although she wasn't. It saddened her to know that her wonderful husband, the man of her dreams, her soulmate, her best friend, was in such a bad mood. "I love you too, Zach. And no, I'm OK; I'm not hungry anymore."
Clementine nodded when her husband told her his plans for the evening. She didn't want him to do anything more than just relax while he was in this mood. Some down time would do hi some good, she hoped. Again, he kissed her but Zacharie must have been distracted because he only managed to press his lips to a half of hers while the other half was made up of her cheek. Still no emotion in this. Cleo suddenly felt a wave of great safeness and worry for her husband, watching as he fixed himself a drink and headed to their bedroom. She shoved her hands into the large college sweat shirt she was wearing and sighed silently as she unconsciously rubbed her large belly. She could almost cry at this point. Unsure of what to do to help. Perhaps just being with him was the only thing she could do for the moment.
Cleo walked slowly back to her bedroom, her mind swirling with possible reasons as to why Zach was unhappy. A bad day at work? Maybe he was tired? Perhaps something horrible had happened to a friend or relative? He would tell her about that, surely... Maybe she hadn't been giving him enough attention? It wasn't such a ridiculous thought. Ever since she found out she was pregnant, Clementine had been obsessed over her pregnancy and making sure it turned out right. She didn't give Zacharie all the attention she used to give him before Johnathan was conceived... She felt as if it was her own fault he was like this.
Awkwardly hoisting her legs onto the bed before doing a strange crawl slash shuffle towards the middle of the bed where Zacharie sat, she didn't say a word. She sat next to him, thinking about giving him some space but deciding not to. Cleo rested her head against his shoulder before taking the hand he had closest to her and giving it a few kisses and letting their hands fall onto the bed, fingers intertwined. She wanted to be there for him, no matter what was going on with him.
(kept passing out as I was writing this post. Ahaha.)

during the few minutes that it took for cleo to enter the room, zach had set his drink on the side table and already begun changing. slipping his shirt off and his pants; his belt and socks as well. he grabbed his pajamas pants from his dresser and slipped into those just as he heard cleo's footsteps. she's was quiet but honestly; it was hard for a pregnant woman to be quiet as she walked. he gave a sad smile and slide into bed. they had tons of pillows on their bed, which he loved but they were originally for cleo while she was pregnant. he propped two behind his back and then sighed. he reached a hand out to get a sip of his water, when he was done; he realized cleo was awkwardly joining him on the bed. so maybe she could be quiet, quiet enough for him not to hear her beside him.
he turned his gaze to her, and he felt like such an ass. he was really being moody. like, super moody. and he had no reason for such. maybe he was still upset about the question but she had every right to ask him that. motherly instincts they called it. she was worried for her baby, the one they had deemed the name johnathan. she'd be such a good mother, he knew that. but he had already wondered whether he would be a good dad. and that, that question had just sent him ten floors down; back to the spot where he felt like he was going to be a terrible father. if cleo was worried then surely, maybe she really did think he'd hurt their baby. god, he hoped not. she'd already told him that she didn't mean it that way... but it was in his head now. it would take a while to clear that away; but he would try as hard as he could. he wanted to think that he would be a great father.
her head was on his shoulder now, nuzzled up into his burning chest. he felt her hand take his and the numb feeling of her kissing his hand; a small grin bursts onto his face as fast as it disappeared. he released her grip and moved his left arm around her back while he re-took her hand with his right one. cuddling her up next to him, her head tucked close to his chest. he could feel her heart beat, her breathing; he kissed her forehead and sighed. it wasn't until that he realized he could burn her, his temperature was probably pretty high. he took a deep breath and calmed his mind; doing his best to lower his temperature. she would tell him when he was too hot, he knew that from past memories.
he had completely forget to put a movie in for her, and he felt like movie now would just ruin their closeness. he loved her so much, and this right here was already beginning to ease him. having her so close, hearing her breathing. holding his just to be able to hear hers. he cleared his throat before speaking; "it seems, darling, that i'm an ass who forgot to put a movie in. but i must say, your breathing is much more entertaining." he kissed her hair, a flash back entering his mind. the thaedeus dance where they went together. her dress, her smile, and how he could easily spot her from a mile away just by her hair. her lovely hair.
he finally felt at ease, or at least enough to let a small grin take over his face. he let her grip go and traced a finger up and down her arm. meeting her eyes when she looked up at him. he reached his neck down and kissed her, slowly and desperately. when they were done he felt so bad. it was like he could feel her thoughts or emotions. he honestly hoped she didn't feel like this was her fault. please, if it was anyones fault it was his. she had her reasons for asking, he had no reason to be acting like a pouty kid. he kissed her forehead and spoke; " stop, thinking that right now. you're worried its your fault and it's not. we're going to call this zach being an ass and being moody. for no reason at all, not really anyways. so stop. it's not your fault, baby." he assured her and quickly met her lips, lovingly, the kiss lasting longer then the other. this one sent a chill down his spine. just like the first kiss they ever shared. when he finally released to breath, he kept his forehead against hers. smiling he spoke sounding like he'd gone a while without air. " god i love you cleo. and i promise, i'll be the best father i can be to our baby. i. am. not. like. your. dad. it breaks my heart to think you went through that."
