Audrey sighed, making her way into the park. It was really sort of empty, of adults anyways. Most of the people there were teenagers who probably didn't mind the cold. Like Audrey. Sure, it was super darn cold but she liked winter. She got to wear all her favorite hats, boots, and funny knee high socks. In the summer, she could wear those but she'd either burn up or just look super weird. At the moment, she was wearing her monkey hat that saved her from having to show off her bad hair day. She really, unlike usual, hadn't felt like doing her hair that wonderful today. In a way, she sort of missed the blondish hair but for some reason she felt like the dark brown really just separated her and the old Audrey. Though her style hadn't changed a bit. She was wearing her dark blue jeans, black boots, her funny socks underneath those, and a long sleeved shirt that was hidden under a hoody. Normally she would have worn something a little more attractive considering how she was running into guys and making it to the bedroom a lot more lately. But, today, she just wanted it all to stop. That was why she was at the park. That and what a guy had said the other night. If anyone looked at Audrey right now, they'd see a girl on the verge of crying -once again-. Sure, she could have gone to her room but she didn't want to risk the chance of her roomie coming in or of Henry stopping by. She usually didn't mind Henry coming but today she didn't feel like doing anything physical. And Henry didn't do that whole talking thing. She couldn't go to Benji, since what happened, and Roscoe was out of the question. She sighed, pushing her hands in her hoody pocket and walking faster towards a tree that was a little off the trail. She figured she could have talked to Mia, or maybe Brett but she didn't want to bother them with all this. It wasn't their job to watch over her. Besides that, she had no one. That, along with many things, really depressed her. Why was it that when the world came tumbling down all the people who you thought you could run to... turn away. Finally, she got to the tree that she had randomly picked out of the others and plopped down beside it. Sadly, she curled her knees up to her chest and buried her face into them. Her arms wrapping around her legs to keep them there. It didn't take long for tears to start streaming down her face. How had life gotten so messed up? Noah dying. Being friendless. Becoming a slut. The break downs. She could go on forever, but she knew that would just make things worse. So, towards the side of the park, a little off the path, at a random tree, there was Audrey; who was sitting there crying like there really was, no tomorrow. TAGS; Robert aka EVY!! OUTFIT; in post? lately, robert had pretty much gotten no sleep. ever since mia had told him that she was pregnant once again, he'd been involuntarily worrying; even at the mere mention of children or best friends he was sent into another inner episode of obsessing over different outcomes...for her to have another miscarriage, a car accident, brett leaving, the baby having some issue due to fucked up genes, everything and anything went through the senior's mind. it was sort of how he was programmed, to think about something until it became part of his sub conscious and came up at just about any keyword. robert trusted her when she said that it was all under-control; he just didn't think she was fully grasping the momentum of the situation. That, just because you might love each other so much, doesn’t mean that teen pregnancy is a great option.
the demigod felt groggy and exhausted as he stripped and got into the shower next to their room, scrubbing shampoo into his hair and washed down with peppermint body wash. it's not like he particularly liked mint, it was just one of those sort of cool gel that made him freezing and woke him up. he skipped conditioner, as usual, then hopped out of the shower and tied a towel around his waist and walked back over. his roommate was gone, which wasn't unusual. tossing in a towel his dark hair to make it somewhat dry, he did the usual eighteen year old guy things - shaved, deodorized, lazily brushed his hair into place. once down with all of the mandatory bathroom activities, he pulled on a coal-colored, faintly striped button up and a pair of dark grayish jeans. robert was the sort to dress nicely every day, and spent most of his money on clothes. and sending some back home to noelle.
really, robert had no clue what to do that day; he had a late circa shift, though aside from that completely free. he could go see ever, though he'd just spent the whole previous night with her. or mia - though that'd just making him bite his fingers off from nervousness. he was great at hiding these sort of feelings; he knew that if mia saw him, she'd feel offended. sighing, he grabbed his camera and slid it easily into his messenger bag, then slung that around his shoulder; guess today would just be a lazy photography one. his crappy, patchy-looking leather coat was a great contrast to his otherwise fairly nice attire; it was just another thing robert on his list of things to buy.
maybe if robert saved a little money for a shitty car instead of buying sale buttons-ups, he wouldn't have to take the bus everywhere. either way, that wasn't the case; so there the senior waited, ear buds playing some sort of indie music as he stood at the curb. the public bus shuttered to a stop in front of him, creaking doors whooshing open. the ride to me-kwa-mooks park wasn't all too long, only about seven minutes. paying the bus fair and jumping rather gracefully off of the tall step, he began his quick paced walk into the woodland park.
his photographers eye saw almost everything as a great photo opportunity, from the snail making its journey through crushed, old autumn leaves to the silhouette of leafless trees against a gray sky. robert was protectively holding onto his canon 50D like it was his soul-mate, bringing it up to his face every other ten or twenty seconds. soon, he was deeper in the park, where there were not many people due to the recent rain - the sound of sobbing was unmistakable in the silence. pausing, he glanced around and spotted a girl with her face in her arms, body trembling terribly. the urge to take a picture was impossible to ignore, the emotion something rare; focusing on her thin shoulders and dark brown hair that covered her face, he snapped a picture. robert caught his breath as soon as she looked up, feeling like he was invading on her privacy. he was such an ass, not even asking permission and just clicking away at her brokenness. swallowing dryly, he feverishly smiled and let the camera drop to side.
"i'm really sorry, that was insanely rude. you just looked really good. or something." expect the awkward robert to fuck things up even more. "that didn't sound right. it's just a photographer's itch. i guess." his laughed unnaturally, ran a hand through his hair then glanced down at the wet gravel.

Audrey felt like she would soon have no tears left after crying so much. she hated this all. even to begin with Audrey hated to say that she had been through some things, that perhaps others hadn't but now, all she was doing was drawing more attention to the fact that she was a wreck. it wasn't her fault Noah had to be so amazing and had gotten to her heart. of course, she would even if meant not going through all this pain, trade knowing Noah for three years then not at all. he would always have a place in heart, always. she missed him so much. the way he held her, kissed her, and how she'd beg him to sleep over so she wouldn't have any nightmares. see, whenever she didn't feel like facing her nightmares, she'd ask Noah to say the night. sometimes they'd do more then lay in the bed but even if they didn't do that he'd lay with her. his hands wrapped around her waist, her head snuggled into his chest, god how she missed him. to her, she couldn't imagine ever moving on. no matter what people said, saying it'll get better and it's going to be okay... Audrey failed to believe that. she had already fucked up twenty million hundred times... how can someone change that? they couldn't. she couldn't. choking back another whimper, Audrey just felt like dying. she had no one. sure, there was henry who she saw every other night or at least twice a week...maybe. but as much as she liked henry, he never wanted to stick around long enough for her to have a breakdown. she understood where he was coming from though. she'd slept with enough guys now to know that you try not to get attached. henry had been doing the routine for who knows how long and Audrey maybe a month or two now. her thoughts went to all her other friends. Benji; she loved Benji very much, he was like her brother and no matter how badly things became... she'd be there for him. she was already getting her dress to where to his graduation. ah, graduation. Roscoe, henry, Benjamin, and a few other of her friends were graduating. the only two she'd have after that would be Mia and Brett and as much as she loved them, Audrey didn't have the heart to bug them with her problems. mentally, Audrey had decided that as soon as she graduated... she was gone. she didn't want to be in Seattle any more. everything depressed her. even her art had gone down the toilet. it was like, when Noah left, he took the real Audrey with him. finally, the crying ceased and Audrey sat there for a few seconds just trying to catch her breath when she heard a noise. quickly, she looked up and jumped a little when she saw a guy looking at her with a camera in his hand. what the? her eyes assessed the guy and she let out a sigh. she was not in the mood to be around any guys. heck, if henry was here or Roscoe or Benji, she'd blow them off. that was how ready she was to end all this. before she could let something extremely rude escape her lips, the guy spoke. "I'm really sorry, that was insanely rude. you just looked really good. or something." she lifted an eyebrow curiously and watched the guy. he looked familiar, like he went to her school. Audrey skimmed through her brain trying to match a name to the guy in front of her. just by looking at him she could tell he was a senior, now whether he was a senior at her school. that she did not know. she gave a weak smile and met his eyes right before he spoke again. "that didn't sound right. it's just a photographer's itch. i guess." she gave a small laugh, using the tip of her thumb to wipe away the last remaining tears before giving a weak smile to the guy. so he was a photographer? she had always wondered whether she'd be any good at that but she was more into painting. plus she had procrastinated on getting a professional camera. her eyes shifted to his camera and then back to him. yeah, he looked like the photographer. she released the grip her arms had around her knees and she let her knees float back down to the ground. looking up at the guy again she gave an awkward smile. she sighed, realizing she had yet to speak. "your rather funny" she squeaked with a weak smile. " I'm Audrey Maddings, it's nice to meet you. Um, so you're a photographer? Would you mind perhaps showing me some of your photos?" she questioned, hoping he'd say yes. maybe it'd take it her mind off all the junk in her life right now. highly unlikely but a girl could hope right? she was recovering pretty quickly from her sobbing fit, her red-rimmed maple eyes slowly fading and the sniffling began to cease. letting her knees straighten and flop to the gravel, she gave him a weak, slightly unnatural smile and once again robert felt like a moron. actually, at the moment, he was considering turning around and running in the opposite direction to save them both from his stupid, awkward ways. "you're rather funny," she squeaked in a rusty voice, which was understandable. crying usually did that sort of thing to a person. still, "funny" wouldn't quite be the best word to describe the senior; try socially challenged. "i'm audrey maddings, it's nice to meet you. um, so you're a photographer? would you mind perhaps showing me some of your photos?" that was the sort of question robert generally tried to avoid, often changing the subject when it came to his photography. though he sort of owed her, in a way.
"you could say that. and sure." blinking, robert thought for a moment as to what to do next. walk over, take a seat, hand her the camera? walk over and just hand it over? deciding to do whatever was natural, he crunched on the wet gravel and took a seat next to her. he made sure to crouch, rather than sit. the last thing he needed was a huge wet mark on the back of his pants. "um, here. just press his button to change it. y'know." setting it to the playback scene, he handed her a piece of his soul with careful hands and prayed that she wouldn't drop it.
his memory was mostly just full of pictures of the city, friends, and most importantly - ever. considering every other picture was one of her, it was obvious she was either his girlfriend or he was an insanely creepy stalker. more than likely girlfriend, considering she was almost always openly smiling back at him, blonde curls falling perfectly around her face and her blue eyes glistened adoringly. he really did like the girl. shifting on his feet, he flinched at how uncomfortable he was getting. however, he didn't stand back up, instead either stared at the sky or glanced down at whatever picture she was skimming through. suddenly, he remembered that he completely forgot to introduce himself. "oh, and i'm robert. rush." pausing, he glanced at her. then it hit him. "oh, you're from thaedeus too, right? he asked, blinking as he watched her face. yeah, he certainly recognized the junior.

her eyes examined every picture that went by, always getting big when she saw a few of the best. course' they were all gorgeous in her opinion. he had taken pictures of anything really, what he saw in the park, like the fact he'd taken a picture of a snail not too long before he had taken a picture of her. it was almost like tracking someone but by art; by photography. one thing she notice, though it was hard to miss wa sthe fact that every other picture was of a girl... blonde her with bright blue eyes, always smiling. every time audrey saw those pictures, she would smile. obviously his girlfriend, no doubt about it. audrey remembered the girl, ever ash, she believed and she was a senior most definitely. she tried to get a name to work, ... but never came up with it. oh well, she'd just have to wait until he introduced himself. until then, she'd continue guessing mentally. it kept her mind off her life. she held his camera very gently, she could tell how much he cared about it. they way he held it, and looked at it , so she knew that if she dropped it, even if it was okay... he'd freak. she could just tell. usually she was horrible at reading peopel if she didnt remember them but he was easy to read. mostly anyways. sure, there was probably a lot of junk that she couldn't read but it was better then nothing right? finally coming back to her picture, she stared at it for a long time. was that really how sad she looked? it was depressing, to think that a month and half ago, she was as happy as could be and now. now this. this level of sadness that even though she thought couldnt get any worse, just did. finally looking at him she smiled a weak smile and carefully handed him back the camera. " you're amazing, i would've never been so great. and thanks for letting me see."she then thought back to when he introduced himself, robert rush... robert rush and ever ash. ah yes, she had heard the names blended together before. they sounded cute and now that she could put them together, they looked cute. see the difference between audrey and some of the other girls that slept around at thaedeus was that they didnt mind hitting on a guy who had a girl audrey was different. she'd have to be pretty desperate to go between a couple. the whole reason she was in this mess was because she had lost her boyfriend, why would she ruin the chance to have their for another girl. of course, audrey had had a few incidents where she didnt know the guy had a girl until it was too late. those made her feel shitty and were also just a tad bit, in a mean way, funny. she looked up at the sky and then sat up a bit, she looked at robert. " yeah, i go to thaedeus, i'm a junior though. i'm just assuming you're a senior then. you're girlfriend's gorgeous by the way." she smiled and ran her fingers through her hair before speaking again. "I'm sorry about the whole crying thing before. Life has just been, er, i'm sorry I shouldn't be pouring my life on you." she sighed and went to go stand up. "C'mon, i'm getting just a bit bored under that tree. bench or walking? you choose." she wasn't really giving him the option of going away. she needed to be distracted, right, now. "you're amazing, i would've never been so great. and thanks for letting me see." smiling, robert was pretty flattered by her compliment. photography was about the only thing he was good at, so whenever someone told him he was good it always created an unstoppable idiotic grin. oh, thanks. photography is actually pretty easy. all you need is a good eye for things." he explained modestly, shrugging. "i can't even draw a straight line right." he added, chuckling lightly. it was the truth - though he might have a knack for picture taking, his skills with a pencil weren't so good. he took back his camera then laid it on his lap, large hands twisting random knobs out of habit.
"yeah, i go to thaedeus, i'm a junior though. i'm just assuming you're a senior then. your girlfriend's gorgeous by the way." robet blinked, taken back for a moment - yeah, she was, but for another girl to tell him that? yeah, his roommate would give him the occasional "she's hot" whenever she left his room, though aside from that, it was pretty unusual. laughing softly, he ran a hand through his dark hair before glancing at his camera then back over at audrey. "yeah. graduation is coming up soon." he sighed at her senior comment. "and yeah, she isn't she?" robert smiled, then flinched. his legs were begging to be stretched out, though he wouldn't move until she did.
"i'm sorry about the whole crying thing before. life has just been, er, i'm sorry i shouldn't be pouring my life on you." robert laughed in his head at her last sentence; it seemed as though everyone had been lately, so why not her too? just as he was about to reply, she mentioned that they should probably get up - thank the fucking gods. robert spoke as he stood up, offering a hand to her as he did so. "i say walk around. My legs are stiff as hades." he didn't comment on the irony of the statement, considering who his father was. "don't worry about, really. and if there's anyone to pour your heart out to, it's me." robert assured her with humor as they began to walk down the wide trail through me-kwa-mooks. wet gravel crunched under their feet, and every photo opportunity he resisted. the senior had learned a while ago that having a conversation and randomly stopping to take pictures was both awkward and, well, rude.
