from the moment that we're born, until the moment we're old and tired-- will you ever really know me? Her eyes opened wide as he stepped forward, taking her raised hand in his and lifting her from her chair. The way he was holding her made her feel like she was dancing on a cloud, and she never wanted to stop. Leaning into his firm chest, her breath caught in her throat as his hand pressed against the small of her back and drew her in even closer.
As he released her hand, Margot let it fall gently to his shoulder, amazed at the fact that she could hardly grab it with her small grasp. He was so big, yet she was completely unafraid of being broken. There was something so gentle about him, something that refused to let her be hurt.
She just wanted to reach up and meet his mouth in a lip-crushing embrace, but she held back. She didn't want to be too forward, especially after everything she'd put him through. She watched as the hand that had just been holding hers fell to her face, lightly brushing her bangs from her eyes. A shiver went up her spine, and she smiled.
"I could get used to you being around. So I need to make sure you'll be able to." Margot nodded, meeting him halfway. As soon as her lips melded to his, she felt like every inch of her skin was on fire. This, was what a real kiss should be like. The hand that rested on his shoulder slipped to the back of his neck, and she stepped up on her toes to get as much as she could--the taste of his salty lips made her want more, and more, and more.
Stepping away from her, Margot sighed as he tilted his head and smiled. "When's your appointment?" She paused, collecting herself. How was she supposed to bounce back that quickly? She'd just been kissed by one of--if not the--sexiest teacher at Thaedeus and he wanted to know when her appointment was? Blinking a few times, she ran a hand through her tousled hair and answered as simply as she could. "Thursday at 3:00 with doctor James Brown."

Down to the earth I fell,With dripping wings;Heavy things don't fly. With a grin at Margot's reaction, he closed the distance between their bodies, staring down at her, a boy grin on his face, as if he was hiding a big secret inside himself, that made him laugh at everything she said. It was easy, being with her. Like everything was just feeling right inside him, even if the world was crashing down. Although the fact that he could only move his arm so much didn't really make it easy. It always had to go for the same position for now. To her back, where he could splay his fingers out on the soft fabric of her shirt, and his cast could fit easily without really being awkward. It was also easier for getting her to crush closer to him, even if he was being gentle. He was just scared that if he squeezed her too hard, it'd get messy. As in, she would puke. And he was rather terrified of vomit, if he was being completely honest with himself. Some people would even say... He had a phobia of it.
But he was more scared of losing her to a disease that could take over her mind more than it already had. The fact that he was willing to sit with her in a bathroom stall, holding her tightly until she stopped shaking... Yeah, he loved her. He didn't know why, but he loved her. She was still that gorgeous woman he had met on her first day at the school, who had a rockin' ass and threw paper notes on his desk, asking for luncheon times and meeting places for the next staff meeting. He was just in tune with her since they had met. He couldn't help it. He wasn't even sure how he could fall in love with someone anymore, but he had. And now he was stuck.
So, with a deep breath, Rhys smiled and leaned forward, pressing his lips gently to her forehead, before keeping his face rested atop her head. "Alright. I'll take you, then." He ran his hand down the side of her face and down her shoulder, holding her hand gently. "I won't even let go of your hand, the whole time." He grinned, then thought about that. "Which means you'll probably have to come out of the same side of the car as me. How well can you climb over a gear shift?" He blinked, pulling his face away to look at her, before laughing a bit at himself. He pressed a little kiss to her lips once more and patted her cheek. "It's going to be okay. I promise."

from the moment that we're born, until the moment we're old and tired-- will you ever really know me? The way he was looking at her made her nervous, but it wasn't the kind of anxious, terrified feeling she got when she ate. It was a warm buzzing in her core that flickered and brightened every time Drhystan stepped close to her, touched her, kissed her. Margot couldn't deny the fact that she liked him. Why else would she feel this way when he was within an inch of her thin frame?
With shaky hands, she looked down at her shoes as he kissed her forehead. She didn't know what to say to him. She supposed she could start with a long string of thank yous for everything he was promising her, but it just didn't seem like anything she could say would make up for what he was sacrificing just spending time with her and watching her like she was some overgrown child.
"Thanks Rhys," Margot smiled, settling on a simple appreciation of his help as she tilted her head up to meet Drhystan's lips another time. "But I don't think climbing over a gear shift will be too hard. The advantage of being sick is that I can fit in small spaces." She laughed lightly, shuffling her feet.
If she was being honest, did she really want him by her side while the doctor was testing her? What if she had complications, or something awful that she couldn't even deal with, let alone Drhystan having to deal with? Her mind started cycling, thoughts racing back and forth as she processed the information. Maybe, just maybe, she should deal with everything on her own. She didn't want to scare him off... not now.

Down to the earth I fell,With dripping wings;Heavy things don't fly. Rhys smiled weakly and ran his fingers through her hair, sighing softly at her joke before smiling at her. "I'll keep that in mind next time I want to shove you into a car trunk to fit all my other friends in the real seats." He said quietly, half-joking, before pulling away from her. He was happy to see she was making an effort to get better, but he was also terrified shitless of just breaking her in half. One downside of liking rough sex was that he needed someone who could actually take it, instead of cry because he was going to hard or too fast or-well, he forgot the rest of the complain because by then he usually lost all sexual inspiration and just stopped completely, packed the womans purse for her, and booted her out. He shuddered at the memory of high school encounters and ran his good hand through his hair.
He looked over to the counter and stared down his glass of water before reaching for it, and downing it happily. He had barely drank any since she had shown up. "So, is that all you came for?" He blinked, glancing down at her. He half expected more from her. Usually she was full of little surprises around every nook and cranny of their encounters. He wouldn't be surprised if she random pulled out a badger from her muffin basket and gave it to him, to which he would reply, "badgers and wolverines don't get along very well," and they would both laugh and... Well, that was when his mind started to wander to dirtier places. Which wasn't going to happen for a while. A long while. Like, at least a month. Jesus a month was a long time. What the hell could he do for dates? Cook her dinner? Hah.
He bit his lip and turned back to her, before smiling. "We should go on a date. But you have to pick the location, because if I do, my stomach will get the best of me and we'll wind up somewhere with awesome food and I'll just ohm nom the fuck outta that shit. Soooooo. Yeah. We should date." He nodded and crossed his arms. "It's been concluded. Case closed."

from the moment that we're born, until the moment we're old and tired-- will you ever really know me? Margot rolled her eyes, leaning her head back as his fingers trailed through her hair. "You will have to keep water back there. Y'know, if I get thirsty or something from lack of oxygen." She smirked, hands dropping to her sides as he stepped away, looking at her with an odd expression. Her fingers twitched, and she shoved them into the pockets of her jeans, shuffling her feet. What was he thinking about now? She sighed, the possibilities running through her mind and causing her to shake.
"So is this all you came for?" He asked, looking down at her. Margot shrugged, "I guess so, unless..." She stopped, a small smile creeping at the corners of her lips. She didn't quite now what she was thinking, but it was out of the question. Just looking at his size made her nervous. She was thin, frail and all bone. He was big, chunky and all muscle. It wasn't going to work out. Well, not now at least. Before she could excuse herself, he cut in. "Soooooo. Yeah. We should date."
Margot laughed, tilting her head as she looked up at him. "I think I'd like that." She nodded, stepping forward to grab her satchel. Slinging it over her shoulder, she headed towards the door. "I'll have to do some, uh, research... but I'll find a place." She assured him, reaching for his door handle, black ankle boots dragging against his wood floor.
As she pulled it open, she smiled at him over her shoulder before stepping into the abandoned hallway. It was likely that most of the students were still sleeping in an attempt to escape the cold. When she'd finally pulled the door closed behind her, she made sure she was around the corner before leaning against the wall and letting herself succumb to the fit of tears that had been threatening to escape. Her shoulders shook as her body convulsed, mascara streaming down her cheeks.
It was a few minutes before she could compose herself, and when she finally did, she wiped her face with the back of her hand and walked out of the chi omega fraternity. You're an idiot, the voice screamed at her. A stupid, fucking idiot. You've dragged yourself down this much and now you're going to drag him down too? You're a bitch. A heartless bitch. Don't call him. You don't need him.
